You will need to know your child’s Claw color and homeroom teacher to purchase a shirt. If you have questions about your child’s Claw color, please contact your child’s teacher. Scholastic Fall Book Fair

Book Fair is Coming!

Get ready to shop, discover, and fall in love with reading! Our Fall Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Gum Springs Elementary September 11–18, bringing an exciting selection of books and other items to help our students build their home libraries and discover their next favorite read. Students will have opportunities during the school day to visit the Book Fair and shop for books.

Wednesday, September 16 | 3:00–5:30 PM

Families are invited to join us for a special Family Shopping Day! Stop by the Media Center after school, browse the exciting selection, and help your child choose books they will enjoy reading at home.

💳 Make Shopping Easy with Book Fair eWallet

Want your child to shop independently? Book Fair eWallet makes it easy! Families can create an eWallet through our school’s Scholastic Book Fair homepage (scan the QR code below), and family members and friends can contribute funds. Your child can then use those funds to choose the books they want to read. Any unspent funds remain available in your Scholastic account for future Book Fairs or can be donated to Share the Fair.

This year, our Book Fair will be coinless! While we will still gladly accept cash (including coins), eWallet, and credit cards as forms of payment, no coins will be given as change. To make this work, purchase totals will be rounded up to the nearest dollar. The difference will be donated directly to our Share the Fair fund, helping provide books for students who may need assistance purchasing books.

🐾📖 PreK Is Rockin’ in the Library! 🎸👟

Our PreK Panthers had a very special first visit to the GSES Library! 🥰📖 We kicked off their first library story time with Pete the Cat: Rocking in My School Shoes and talked about all the exciting places we can explore in our school shoes! 🎸🐱

After the story, students got creative and decorated their very own school shoes! 👟🎨✨

We loved welcoming our youngest Panthers to the library and can’t wait for all the reading adventures ahead! ❤️🖤🐾

Linq Connect- Purchase Limits How-to Guide

Linq- Setting Purchase Limits

Have you added funds to your child's meal account, but discovered they are quickly running out? Students have the option each day to select extra items in the cafeteria- chips, cookies, jerky, extra food, and ice cream (once a week). If you would like to limit your child in how much extra they can choose, or even not allow any extra items, follow the steps below.

Setting Limits in Linq Connect: This will have to be completed individually per child.

Login to your Linq Connect account.
Select Meal Accounts.
Scroll down to Purchase limits and click Add.
Set the limit for your child. This can be a dollar or item limit by day or meal. Click Save when done.
Repeat these steps for each child.
