A Note from Administration

We hope you will make plans to join us for our Back-to-School Night next Tuesday, August 25th. This is an important night for parents to meet with your child's teacher to learn essential information that will help set your child up for success this year. Teachers will share information about class expectations, homework policies, grading, curriculum, testing, family engagement opportunities available this year, clubs, and more. Each teacher will host a session from 6:00 to 6:30 P.M. and repeat the same session from 6:30 to 7:00 P.M. Families may drop in to attend either session. Media Specialist, Mrs. Gassman will also be offering a session during both time slots to help families learn more about our school tech tools like Parent Square and Infinite Campus, and Specials teachers will be available to meet families and share information about their programs. We hope EVERY Panther family will be able to join us!

Kindergarten Color Days!

Kindergarten Color Days continue next week! Help support our Kindergarten students as they dive into colors by wearing the color of the day. Check out the schedule for the color of the day!

Fall Book Fair: Coming Soon!

Get ready, Panthers! Our Scholastic Book Fair is coming to GSES September 11–18! 🎉

Students will have the opportunity to browse a fantastic selection of books and find their next great read! 📖✨ Whether they’re looking for a favorite series, a funny story, an adventure, or something brand new, there will be plenty to discover!

We can’t wait to fill our Media Center with the excitement of reading! ❤️🖤

Claw Shirts on Sale Now! Show your Claw pride by purchasing a Claw shirt to wear for Claw spirit days and Claw parades! Visit School Window to order a shirt today. You will need to know your child’s Claw color and homeroom teacher to purchase a shirt. If you have questions about your child’s Claw color, please contact your child’s teacher. All orders are due by Friday, September 4th!

☕Welcome to the 2nd Grade Reading Café! 📖

Our second graders had a wonderful time at the GSES Library Reading Café! 🐾❤️🖤 Students got to “taste” a variety of new book selections, explore different titles, and discover books they couldn’t wait to read. 📖 After sampling their choices, students picked out and checked out their first books of the school year! 🎉

We love helping our Panthers discover new favorites and build a love of reading from the very beginning!

🌈Kindergarten Color Days! 🎨

Our kindergarteners have been having a colorful time with Color Days! 🌟 Each day, students focus on a different color and enjoy fun, hands-on activities, books, and learning experiences centered around that day’s special color. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

It’s been a wonderful way for our youngest Panthers to learn, explore, and celebrate colors while making connections across the curriculum! 🐾

And the colorful fun isn’t over yet—Color Days continue next week! 🌈 We can’t wait to see what colorful learning adventures are ahead! ❤️🖤
