We are excited about our upcoming classroom holiday celebrations! Families are welcome to join your child's class if interested. Mark your calendars to join us at the following times:

Pre-K: December 15; 11:30 A.M.-12:15 P.M.

Kdg: December 16; 8:30-9:15 A.M.

1st Grade: December 15; 10:00-10:45 A.M.

2nd Grade: December 16; 10:00-10:45 A.M.

3rd Grade: December 15; 8:30-9:15 A.M.

4th Grade: December 16; 11:30 A.M.-12:15 P.M.

5th Grade: December 15; 1:15-2:00 P.M.

Multi-Age: December 15; 10:00-10:45 A.M.

We will be using our new Raptor Safe app for event check-in. Here’s how to register if you plan to attend:

(1) Click the appropriate links for all grade levels you will be joining and add the required information. 

(2) You will receive a text or email from Raptor Safe with an invitation code. Be sure to follow the link sent to you and accept your invitation. The QR code that you will scan to print your badge when you arrive will be located in the “My Events” section of your app.

If you have not downloaded the Raptor Safe app previously, the link will prompt you to download the app and set it up on your phone. (This takes a few minutes and requires you to take photos from different angles, but once you complete this initial set-up process, registering and checking in for future events or school visits is very quick and simple.)

Please note that the time listed on the event invitation is the time that app check-in opens on the day of the event. The actual party begins at the time listed above. Be sure to bring your driver’s license when you come for the event.

To help us manage our limited classroom space, we kindly ask that each student bring no more than two adult guests and that younger siblings not attend.

The holiday season is a busy but wonderful time of year, and we’re excited to share it with our students and community! We hope to see you at GSES soon!

Join us for some festive fun as we celebrate the holiday season! Starting December 8th, we'll be enjoying a holiday read-aloud each day. Students are welcome to join our staff in dressing up to match each book's theme!

Our annual GSES PTO Holiday Shop opens at this week. Students have the opportunity to bring money and purchase surprise gifts for family and friends. (Our awesome PTO elves even wrap the gifts so they can stay a surprise!) Each class has a designated shopping time, so feel free to send money on your child's class shopping day. The graphics below contain information about price ranges, items for sale, and when your child's class is shopping. Additional volunteers are also needed to help this week's Holiday Shop run smoothly. If you can commit a few hours to help, please sign up HERE. It's lots of fun, and seeing the true JOY kids get from picking out special gifts for the people they love most will really put you in the holiday spirit!

Each year, American Legion Post 56 sponsors the Junior Oratorical Contest which gives students the opportunity to learn more about the U.S. Constitution and share what they have learned. This year, four GSES earned the opportunity to compete and present their speeches to a panel of American Legion judges. 5th graders Alessandra DeFuria, Finley Moore, Chloe Roper, and Everlee Runge shared their knowledge about the 4th and 5th Amendments’ history, court cases, and importance in today’s society. We are so proud of their dedication to this extra project and the way these students represented our school! Congratulations to:

* Everlee, 3rd place ($25)

* Finley, Honorable Mention

We are grateful to American Legion Post 56 for creating this opportunity for our students, providing event judges, and contributing generous prize donations.
