A Note from Administration

We are excited to invite Gum Springs families to join our school family for the 2025 GSES Harvest Feast. Our cafeteria staff will be serving a delicious meal, and families are invited to join us as we celebrate this season of thankfulness. If you'd like to join your child for lunch, please note the following details to help us plan a fun and safe event:

* In order to accommodate our large student population, each class has been assigned a specific day and time during the window of November 6-10. Guests may only join students for lunch during their assigned time. Cafeteria seating is limited, so each student is only allowed up to two guests. (See schedule below)

*ALL GUESTS must pre-register by 11:59 P.M. on Friday, October 31st. An electronic registration form will be shared with families on Monday, October 27th through Parent Square which includes a link to pay via School Window. Please complete the registration if you are attending (even if you do not plan to eat a school meal) so that we can prepare for adequate seating. Please do not complete a registration form for GSES student meals. Only guests should pre-register.

* Students who prefer to bring lunch from home may bring their lunch boxes as usual, but guests may not bring outside food into the cafeteria.

* Any visitors to GSES during the school day must have their driver's license scanned by our Raptor security system. The event registration link requires guests to enter their names as they appear on driver's licenses, as well as provide their date of birth. Providing this information allows us to pre-register guests through the security system and reduce wait time. On the day of the event, guests simply have to show their driver's license to pick up their visitor badge and pre-paid lunch ticket.

We are thankful to have such a supportive and generous Panther community, and we look forward to having you join us at GSES soon!

Kindergarten writers at work!

✏️Kindergarten Writers at Work!

Our Kindergarten Panthers are becoming confident writers as they practice using capital letters, spaces between words, and ending punctuation! 📝💡

Through fun writing activities and lots of encouragement, students are learning how to turn their thoughts into sentences that shine. 🌟 We’re so proud of these growing authors!
1st grader readers on the rise!

📖First Grade Readers on the Rise!

Mrs. D'Ostroph's 1st graders are hard at work sharpening their reading skills each day! From sounding out words to building fluency and confidence, these young readers are growing stronger with every page they turn. We love seeing their excitement as they discover new stories and show off their Panther pride in reading!

Finding the Main Idea in 2nd Grade! 💡

Mrs. Sapecky’s 2nd graders have been diving deep into reading this week by learning how to identify the main idea and supporting details in a passage! 🧐 Yesterday, students teamed up with a friend to practice these important comprehension skills through fun partner activities. Together, they read short passages, discussed what the story was mostly about, and matched the key details that supported the main idea. 🤝📖

Campus Parent app

Campus Parent

Every guardian and/or parent needs to have an Infinite Campus Parent Portal account. Having a Parent Portal account, allows parents and guardians to make updates to their contact information, notification settings, and view absences and grades (for 3rd-12th grade). In addition, a Parent Portal account also syncs with ParentSquare and Canvas Parent Observer. The flyer/video linked below helps parents and guardians navigate Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
