We are excited to recognize our students' many accomplishments at this year's Awards Day celebrations! Guests are welcome to join us. Please read the following information carefully if you plan to attend an Awards Program and pass it along to any other family members who may be coming as well.
Arrival: All entry and exit for Awards programs will be through the gym at the back of the school building. We have ceremonies happening back-to-back, so please do not plan to arrive more than 15 minutes early.
Parking: Guests may park in the front, side, or back of the building. No parking in the back of the building for programs starting after 11:30 A.M. due to bus arrival times.
Check-Outs: We will do check-outs in the gym after Awards ceremonies for anyone who would like their child to leave early.
To help our check-out process run more efficiently for our upcoming Awards Day programs, we are offering a check-out pre-registration option. If you plan to check out your student after his/her Awards Day celebration, complete this formby Tuesday, 5/13/25 at 11:59 P.M. Complete a separate pre-registration form for each ceremony from which you will check out a child/children. If more than one of your children have Awards Day programs on the same day, please wait until after the last child's program to check out both children.
Once you have completed the form, our pre-check team will verify that you are approved for check-outs in Infinite Campus and will have your child's check-out sticker ready to go. All you will have to do at Awards Day is sign out and show your photo I.D. for verification, so please remember to bring it with you to the program.
We have so much to celebrate, and we hope you can join us!

7 Mindsets: The Time Is Now
Congratulations to our 7 Mindsets: The Time Is Now representatives- music teacher Ms. Emily Cash and 3rd grader Alexandra Johnson!
Mrs. Cash truly embodies "The Time is Now." From countless hours spent planning every detail of our school musical to directing our Gum Springs Singers, and inspiring students with her passion for music, Mrs. Cash is the heartbeat of our music program. She has a vision and is working to make it a reality, including starting a keyboard lab for our students and starting the Gum Springs Singers. Her vision for the music program and dedication remind us that when we act with purpose, we create meaningful moments and opportunities that shape our school and our community. Thank you, Mrs. Cash, for working hard to turn your ideas into a reality and making a lasting impact on us all!
Alexandra Johnson is a 3rd grade student who truly lives out "The Time is Now." She is always ready to lend a hand, include others, and spread kindness wherever she goes. She’s patient, hardworking, and mindful, constantly looking for ways to help, encourage, and check in on her classmates. Whether it’s lifting someone’s spirits or simply being a great friend, Alex shows us every day that we don’t have to wait to make a difference — the time is now!

Spring Musical
The Gum Springs Singers, under the direction of GSES music teacher, Ms. Emily Cash, performed Disney's 101 Dalmations Kids for students and families, and they did a WONDERFUL job! Students have been working tirelessly on this production for four months. We are so proud of their hard work and dedication.
After the show on Thursday night, Ms. Cash was surprised with a KEYBOARD LAB, a vision she has expressed to help expand our school music program. Many thanks to North Georgia Pediatric Dentistry, LUM, and GSES PTO for donating 30 keyboards! We know Ms. Cash and all of her students will enjoy these for years to come. Thank you to these generous sponsors.
